This is the biggie beta thread, this is where you're supposed to post feedback, report bugs, or just download the latest version. To install it you need to open setup. to check for requirements, most probably you will need the .Net framework 2.0, it will be downloaded and installed automatically. It is recommended that you <don't> run any other programs than this as things will lag a bit =/ (Start menu folder will be DIV5) It will be this way until we get a proper installer, so until then, bear with it. To host a live server, enter your global IP in the IP box, open a tibia client, then press 'start', and log in as usual. If you need help, just say "hi blinky" in the "Tibia Live chat" for assistance. You may need to forward port 7171 if you are using a router, if you don't want to, you can enter the loopback address for tests. (127.0.0.1) Please note noone but you will be able to log in that way. To join, you need to use tibialiveclient.exe . Open a tibia client, enter host IP, press "change IP", and login with any account or password. It's as 'simple' as that. =S You can download the latest beta here.Again, this is allowed but not supported by CIP. Yes, I know it's a mess, but it will be fixed soon. Edit: For those that didn't read other posts before going here, click thisVersion history: 0.4.0.2:*Character list 100% fixed, Tibia Live chat is now closable again. *Some minor bugfixes 0.4.0.1: *Fixed character list debug after opening it too often. *Tibia Live chat was made unclosable, will be fixed later tonight. 0.4.0.0: *Initial release

I think that there isn't a server online if you can not connect.

always says cannot connect to server // Tibia Live Hmm, I got the same when connecting to Tibia without this, "Connection refused". Debugging Tibia Live on connection said connection was refused as well, but now a half hour~ later I can connect with no problems at all. Might have been something wrong with CIP's servers, not suprising since the test is on. Blinky the bot should be in "Tibia Live chat" once you log in, the only thing he can do at the moment is list commands and stuff. One thing though, once you've logged in and got all the spectators you want -- say /block in "Tibia Live chat" so gameplay will not be interrupted.Edit: Betenix, if you have a router and have not/don't want to forward port 7171, enter 127.0.0.1 in the global IP box and press start again. Noone but you will be able to join but it works for tests. Another edit: Main post updated -- new beta version released, if you don't like getting debugged every time you try to open channel list, download it.

OK, now everything is running smoothly. I just got debugged once, when the live client was logging in, it logged and then: ---------------------------------------- Debug Assertion time: Sat May 06 08:14:09 2006 line: 1296 module: Communication_ex Position: 1 abs-s-pos: [32334,31782,5] abs-z-pos: [32333,31782,5] s-position: sx=10 sy=10 sz=2 z-position: zx=9 zy=10 zz=2 d-position: dx=-1 dy=0 dz=0 Start Cylinder: (408,0) (3507,0) Destination Cylinder: (408,0) (99,14566693) ----------------------------------------
but that was just once and haven't happened again.
Seriously dude, this program, if it doesn't get forbidden by Cip, will be hugely popular. Keep on the good work. Will you have to rewrtie everything for the comming technical update?
BTW: Maybe a way to change the spectators' names?

I believe that should cover it ^^ Changing spectators names is easy, the spectator just has to say "/nick name" or "/name name" to change his/her name. (Edit: Without the quotes, of course) Thanks for reporting the bug, it should be fixed by tonight

Do you know what could it be that the server starts only when the local ip is set, but the server wont start when i put my global ip? So far the local tests have turned out ok, but when i tried to put my ip for another friend to log, the server wouldnt start, all i got was: Cannot connect to server. Error: Connection timeout.

Nope, the program was actually meant for a closed beta(With a few of my friends that knows the ins and outs of this), so I haven't really written one yet. Either way, tried entering 127.0.0.1 and pressing start? If you have a router that has not forwarded port 7171 to your local address, things will not work. Firewalls may do the same as well =/ 127.0.0.1 would fix this ^^

Is the program "Tibia Live client redirecter" to be used? Is it to type 127.0.0.1 and click Change IP then login in Tibia?

The server starts with the program, it's always up. What you haven't done is forward port 7171 on your router. =/ Refer to your router manual for this or something~ You can usually reach the routers configuration page by opening 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.2.1 in your web browser. Port forwarding should be in "Virtual server" if you have a DLink router.

Start the tibia live server, then enter 127.0.0.1 in the IP Address box, [then] log in as usual. Note that only you will be able to connect that way. The redirecter is only used by your friends to log in ^^

i have a 5-port switch, which i dont think it is the same as a router? And then the cable modem, which i can access the configuration, but i dont think it has anything to do. Indeed, the 127.0.0.1 works fine, but only allows me to enter, with my glboal ip 200.12.34.567 it wont even log into the char. The strange thing is that i used to have an ot server, and the connections came in and out properly.

Try to config it the same as you did with the OT, if that doesn't work, try checking errors.log :S (Same folder as tibia live)
