Tibia NPC guide
Introduction
Hello fellow tibians. In the following guide you can read all about the Non-Player-Characters also known as NPC’s in tibia. How to talk with them, what the use of them is and much more.
What is a NPC?
A NPC is a Non-Player-Character, the first NPC you see is Cipfried, he stands in the Rookgaard temple and is used to introduce you in tibia. Some NPC’s help you with certain problems, other heal you, other give you items and there are many more options.
How to talk with a NPC
Almost every NPC replies to the word “hi” accept some NPC’s who feel better then others, these people are the kings and queens of tibia. To these people you have to say Hail king or Hello queen. 2 other NPC’s who don’t reply to hi are the Green djinn’s NPC’s and the Blue djinn’s NPC’s.
Some other words where most NPC’s reply to:
Job
Name
<other NPC’s nearby him>
Mission
Quest
God
Offer
What is the use of a NPC
Most of the NPC’s in tibia are used to sell items to, for example “Sam” in Thais. He buys and sells items like maces, battle shields, swords.
Other NPC’s help you with to get quests, like Kevin at the post office south of kazordoon. Most of the time at these kind of NPC’s you need to ask “hi” “mission” or “quest”.
Some NPC’s give you information for certain things, like Melchior, the blind NPC who walks in Ankrahmun. At these NPC’s you have to say most of the times “hi” “job” and then ask further about his job.
There is only 1 NPC in whole tibia who steals money from you, and this is Aruda, a female NPC with a yellow dress who walks in Thais. If she says “o, I’m so sorry dear, I was distracted” she stole some money from you. Be careful with her, best not to speak with her.
NPC’s who are captain of a ship let you sail to another port at another city, though this is only available for players with a premium account.
Monster NPC’s mostly summon monsters as soon as you speak with them, examples are “Orc king” (the irony about this is that he is actually a slime) and “Markwin” the NPC minotaur mage in Mintwalin. When you speak to them they summon monsters of there kind. You can only say once hi and kill the monsters, after that they won’t summon more if you are the speaking to them.
Some other monster NPC’s who don’t summon monsters are “A wrinkled beholder” in the Hellgate library. Though he can attack you if you offend him.
Guards are also NPC’s, they have only one use, punish when people offend him. For instance, when you say “hi” “fuck” to Grof the guard(guard NPC in thais) he will burn you. There are some specials guards, the guards of the kings and the queens, when you offend them, your HP drops automatically to 1.
One of the most important NPC’s in tibia are the one’s where you buy spells. See in the spell guides how to buy the spells.
Other NPC’s sell blessings, these blessings lower the death penalty, blessings cost 10k each, they can be bought in the white flower temple, pas the fire bridge in kazordoon, at the technomancers in kazordoon, in the suntower in Ad’dendriel, above Carlin in the fields of glory and at eremo’s isle.
the last but certainly not least kind of NPC is the one where you change your gold, platinum or crystal coins, here you can exchange your 100 gold coins versus 1 platinum coin, and 100 platinum coins to 1 crystal coin.
Where to find NPC’s
Most likely, NPC’s are in towns and cities. But some NPC’s prefer to be on the hunting grounds, there are 2 NPC’s in the Plains of Havoc. Both of them are of no use, at least, it hasn’t been discovered yet what the use of them is. They only have much to tell about the past.
There is only 1 monster NPC to find in cities, this is “Noodles” King tibianus’s dog. The others are at the hunting grounds.
haven't done all the screenshots yet, but i'll add them soon.
