Did you found a mistake on one of our guides, or would you sugest something in a guide to be rewritten (especially for the hunting guides at the creature pages), then post in this thread. Post what you think that's wrong or bad and your sugestion or new version of it.

I would like to suggest that the mage hunting guides be rewritten for assassins, beholders, dragons, giant spiders, scarabs, and sibangs. The Orc leader and Orc Rider guides are quite good, with only a few english errors (And in in the Orc Leader guide, it says Orc Warlord once instead of Orc Leader). Also, this is just a suggestion, but I think that when there are numerous screenshots of the monster, perhaps a few different spawns of the monster should be pictured, instead of all just one spawn (There are no screenshots of the ground level hydra, or the main hydra spawn). Not a big problem, but a suggestion

Dunno Rickard and Fox I so agree with your proposal to change spawns. If someone got screens of a monster on anoher spawn, feel free to send it, then I can swap it.

Yeye. The system with top screen on one place and the rest on another places can work.

The other screens can be at different places too. E.g. look scarab, nice variety of locations.

For example someone should make the Centipede top screen in Jungle and the rest at dark cathedral ( I allready made them in DC).

Yes, Orc Leader and Orc Rider are good.
If needed, I can rewrite some of the guides.
Do you want me to report typos in this thread. (Like if you said "lock" instead of "block", or "tehm" instead of "them")
Thanks, Fox

I'll try to find a few then: 1) Hydras www.tibiacity.org/creature/hydra.php-On the description of the hydra's "water wave" attack, the word "pportunity" is missing the letter O, and should say "opportunity." -The description for "Flees from Battle" has a few typos and uses very poor english, so I'll quickly rewrite it for you: -When the Hydra gets to read health, it will attempt to run away from battle. Following it and killing it as quick as possible would be advised. If it is allowed to escape, it will quickly heal itself, and your work damaging it will have been for nothing. Admin: I guess you mean red .-The other attack descriptions had pretty poor grammar, but they can be fixed another time. 2) Dragons www.tibiacity.org/creature/dragon.php-On the dragon page, under the attack "Great Fireball", it says the attack does 40 till 120 damage, the word "till" should be replaced with the word "to." -Under the attack "Firewave", it says the damage if you get hitted by this attack. The word "hitted" should be replaced with the word "hit". -Under the section "flees from battle", I beleive the last sentence should just be deleted. -Under the section "Healing," the second sentence should be rephrased to: "They only heal an average amount, making it easy to damage them more than they can heal." 3) Assassins www.tibiacity.org/creature/assassin.php-Under the attack description "Throwing stars", it says: "This attack is even weaker then their close combat and the maximum damage of hose threwoing stars is 60 damage." This should be replaced with "This attack is even weaker than their close combat. The maximum damage of their throwing stars is only 60 damage." -Under the attack description, "Haste," it says: "Assassins can also cast haste, but you won't notice much difference." This should be replaced with "Assassins can also cast haste, but you probably won't notice the difference." -Under the attack description, "Invisible," there are a few errors. The entire passage should be replaced with: You musy be careful when an assassin is invisible. It can apear in a place you aren't expecting, and hit you for heavy damage. It's invisibility doesn't last very long, so it's not necessary to shoot it with great fireball to make it visible again. If you're a lower level player, it's may be better to shoot it with great fireball or heavy magic missile. 4) Giant Spiders www.tibiacity.org/creature/giantspider.php-Under the attack description "Close Combat" it says: Giant Spiders have a relative strong close combat. They most likely damage you for over 100. This should be replaced with "Giant Spiders have a strong close combat. They will most likely damage you for over 100. -Under the attack description "Places Poison Fields," there are a few problems. First, the attack label "Places Poison Fields," should be replaced with "Shoots poison fields." Second, the first sentence of the paragraph: "Most people know what poison fileds are I guess", should just be completely deleted. The rest of the paragraph should be replaced with "Giant Spiders can shoot poison fields at you. It is impossible to dodge this attack. You can cast You can cast Exana Pox to make the poison go away, but before doing this, you should wait until the GS is dead." -Under the attack description "Summons Poison Spiders," there are a few problems: The current paragraph should be replaced with: Giant Spiders summon Poison Spiders. The poison spiders are very weak compared to the GS, so don't be discouraged. Be careful when the GS has already summoned some poison spiders when you arrive. If you two poison spiders begin attacking you before the GS does, it would be wise to kill them off, as then your shielding will be broken. If the poison spiders attack you after the GS, ignore them and concentrate on killing the Giant Spider. 5) Orc Leaders -The Orc leader's Close Combat Attack Description should be replaced with "Orc Leaders have a pretty strong close combat with a damage range of 0 to 150. The melee damage they do is less than an Orc Berserkers', but with their ranged attack aswell, they can hit you for quite a lot. You can avoid their melee attack by either taking a blocker, or outrunning them. -The Orc Leader's Throwing Knife Attack Description should be replaced with "The ranged combat of Orc Leaders is throwing knives. These will do an average of 30-60 damage with a maximum hit of 80. This attack cannot be avoided by outrunning them, but it can be avoided by letting someone else block the Orc Leader.

I notice that many of you guide writers are tremendously confused by the words "Then" and "than". It looks like the word "then" is being used about 90% of the time, when it shouldn't be. Definitions: Then- Next in time, space, or order: We watched the late movie and then went to bed.
Than- Used to introduce the second element after certain words indicating difference: He draws quite differently than she does.So if you are giving instructions, in different steps, of how to hunt a monster, the word " then" would be correct. Example: Make sure you are diagonal from the dragon, then shoot your HMMs until it is dead, then take your loot. If you are making a comparison of one attack's damage to another, the word "than" would be the right choice: The assassin's throwing star attack does much less damage than its melee. Or, the dragon's fire wave attack does much more damage than its other attacks. I hope the usage of these two words is now clear, because this mistake can probably be found in about 100 places on the site ~Fox

I looked for a thread for the Dragon creature details, but didn't find one on this board, so I'll post it here:
Mage hunting guide Hunting with a blocker
Items needed: 1 backpack of UH 1 backpack of HMM 1 backpack of mana fluids 10-12 blank runes to make more HMM while you wait for respawn
Procedure:
Depending on what spawn you are hunting at, the environment will be different. If you are at a spawn with ramps, or parcel hills, or ladders, stay close to the edge, so incase of retarget, you can always go down. (Ankrahmun spawns, edron spawns, thais spawns). Send the knight in to lure the dragon out. Once the dragon is in your sight, shoot your heavy magic missiles at the dragon until it is dead. Make sure you stay out of the dragon's fire wave range, and preferably away from its Great Fireball attack also. This can be achieved by standing at least a few spaces away from your blocker. The following diagram shall demonstrate where you should stand to avoid the firewave attack:
X=Open space D=Dragon B=Blocker and Y=You
XXXXXXX XXDXXXX XXXBXXX XXXYYYY XXXXYYY
The farther back you stand from your blocker, the safer you will be from its great fireball attack.
When the dragon's health turns red, it will attempt to run away. If possible, your knight should try to block its escape route while you continue to shoot it with heavy magic missiles. You may need to chase the dragon as it runs away. This is fine, and will probably be necessary, just make sure you stay out of the dragon's range of fire wave.
At lower levels, a larger group of shooters may be required to quickly kill the dragon.
Safety rules: * As long as you stay out of the way of the dragon's firewave attack, mana shield shouldn't be necessary, and will just be a waste of mana. If the dragon retargets you and hits you with a great fireball attack, quickly go down the ramp and use an exura gran spell. If there is nowhere to go down, have your blocker cast "exeta res" or try to outrun the dragon until it retargets. *If you must chase the dragon into a narrow tunnel where you won't be able to easily dodge its firewave attack, you should use your mana shield first, for safety. *Keep a Ultimate Healing rune handy to heal your blocker or another shooter if they lag. You can just keep this in your arrow slot, so you don't need to waste screen-space with the whole backpack open. * Keep your backpack of Heavy Magic Missile Runes open, as this will be virtually the only thing you will be using on the dragon. * If you are a druid with the spell "heal friend," feel free to hotkey yourself, and your blocker. * Keep at least a few mana fluids handy. You will need your mana for healing yourself, and if you ever need to use mana shield. * If you ever have to face more than one dragon, make sure you use mana shield to avoid getting spammed and killed.
I just finished the "Hunting with Blocker" guide, but I have to go now.
I'll write the other one later.
