Soulpoints

Soulpoints, good or bad? What do you think about the soulpoint system? Do you think that druids and sorcerers have to work for their money now, like knights and paladins already did? Or do you think honest players are punished because of the macro users? Do you want the soulpoint system to be removed or do you like it? What do you think about it that paladins don't use soulpoints when making arrows? Motivate your answer.

I love soulpoints, it's cool the way CIP implemented it, sorcerers and druids don't grow fat anymore.
It's pity, that freemeuns don't get a bit more out of it /, i mean the regenaration procedure to them is like, ubber lamme.

I agree wiht you there. Free accounts are really in a disadvantage. If I was free account I surely wouldn't be a mage. Their regeneration is so slow, and their max is smaller, and they can't sleep. A promoted mage shoudn't have trouble with the soulpoints.

It doesn't really afflict paladins. Theyn only use soulpoints when they make hmms and not when they make arrows or bolts. I find this a little strange .

I am for it, CIPsoft had to crack down. All the cheating was from non-premy chars. What they did was annialated it completely. I think most excellent.

I do dissagree with the beds to a degree... what about if you are in a guild and what not. I find that irriatiing for my guild members who dont have a p-account. My guild hall has a ton of unused beds becasue of that very reason.

I like the beds where you restore. I find that free accounts are too much in trouble with soulpoints, there should be some way to regenerate them faster /. I find the spawn whitout macro druids slower.

The idea for soul points is very good. But the most major flaw is the difference between promoted and non-promoted. The difference between 15 seconds and 2 minutes seems like an awful lot... and it is. Gaining soul points 8 times faster is a little much. It now seems like some gimmick to get more premmies.

+ they have the restoration of sp when they sleep. It's really hard for a non-premy mage. I understand why there are so many people against the soulpoint system. But it worked against the cheaters. I find that free accounts need some kind of promo too (less then premys) that it is like 1 sp every 30-45 seconds. Now they are in a bad disadvantage.

PS: It's not always good that they cheaters are gone, now the spawn is slower .

Spawn slower... The difference is really not that much though

My server is a lot emptier than it used to be and the spawn times haven't changed

I think the soul points is a good anti cheat measure, but yes, free accounts are kind of cheated.

It probably should also require Soul Points for pallys making arrows/bolts/bursts and whatnot.

I don't want it (sp for arrows, bolts...), but I agree. Why don't pallys need it and mages do? It's strange.

mages dont realy have a reason to complaine, now instant spells 4 times more viable than before and they have wands.

Tough on free acc though.

Yea . All mages complain because runes are 4 times more expensive, wich is nonsense.
