Because BMP and other image types take up a ton of space, so hosting sites auto resize them if they are too large. JPG is always small enough

Thanks. Can I cut you out of the picture if it's too big to let you in it? Of course! Would be nice to see myself in sometime < >, but it's no problem at all when you cut me out, on any screenshot you want can I be taken off, as long it helps your site is it ok for me. Kind regards, Willy the Pox. Thx

Fixed. So they are png now. Lol, if you save them as jpg first and you then change them to png, then it stays bad. Save them as png immediatly instead of converting them .

This is your chance to come on Tibiacity . Well since we are making monster pages at the moment we need screenshots. The screenshots we need can't be just screenshots, they must have a specific size. We will pick the best screenshots and use them for the monster pages. We will post an average of 3 screenshots on every monster page and the screenshots should be 300x300 pixels. We recommend you to put the stretch and shrink the map off. How do you do this? Click on options, then on graphics then on advances and select the box in front of 'don't stretch or shrink the map'. Pictures made with selecting this box have a larger chance to be taken. Some advice to make nice screenshots: * Like said above, don't stretch or shrink the map * Clean the floors from flask, dead bodies and other crap * Make sure the monster is comletely on the screen * Try to put something special in it (like the monster shooting on you or casting haste) * Don't save them in JPG, that quality isn't very good * Do something creative * Put creature names on * Don't take pictures with too many other monsters Accepted files: JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP Note: moving pictures (like animated gif's) are allowed but don't do strange things JPG NO LONGER ALOWED!What do I do with my screenshots? Post them in this thread (recomanded) or send them to me with an e-mail. Small edit of rules .

You have to make them PNG when you safe them, don't convert JPG into PNG, that's a waste of space since the quality remains the same.

But if you compare them, you see a lot of difference... JPG is so much less nice. If you save pics as jpg then use 100% quality instead of 70% (standard).

if you can export your jpg right (not compressing it) it looks the same if not better than a png.
and a png is only good if u set it to 16 mill colours wich takes up alot of space.
my other screen shots (in jpg) look shit coz i optimized them ages ago to save dl time.
