Getting equipment on rook, a waste of time? Do you think that it's a waste of time to do the Rookgaard quests to get some good equipment? Or do you think it's usefull, because it will allow you to level faster? Motivate your answer.

it is usefull to have the eq but the quests can take a while to do if there arnt people to help getting a good weapon is important i useually hunt rats till i can buy a mace then kill trolls for a shield and leather set  |

I always pass my equipment to another character when I leave rookgaard. This way I always have the best equipment (copper shield, chain armor, studded legs, legion helmet, katana, leather boots).

Trying to get eq on a rook char is largely a waste of time unless you can get it free, or borrow it, from a friend. Or of course you intend on staying on Rookgaard with that character.

I think that it is worth getting the items like katana and copper shield before leaving because you can sell them for 200-400 gp each which makes a good start-up fund for mainland.

if you got alredy some chars in main, then you don't need to sell them, then just pass it to an other char like fox said.  |

Its good to get eq on rook if the char is a rookstayer. But otherways it can be waste of time.

I had a rook character for a while I got him to around lvl 15 but them I gave up due to boredum.

I always try to get the best equipment on rook as possible, i never buy anything, i always loot it, or i get it in quests, but i always sell all my equips when i leave rook, last time i went to main with 2k . |

i have full set on my rook char, its anoying because im always lending to people for couple hrs.
On a new world though i would just get in and out as fast asposible, rook is packed as it is.
you can get equips much easyer while in main with wands/ faster skill increases.

I have a full rook set too, but I don't borrow it to anyone since I don't feel like loging into rook all 5 minutes.

Some quests are fast to do. Banana quest for studded shield is a good one. Also Amber's book for a short sword. What I find the most important is to get a wooden shield as fast as possible. You are able to block rats and hunt them until you are level 2 and do the quests.
It is useful to do the quests for equipment, that's my point of view

I always make chars in rookgaard and level them fast. No time to get money. It's pretty fun at the beginning starting a new char. Gets boring or dangerous when you arrive to main.

If I try a new vocation then it gets really fun. Like paladin, I haven't tried to do a paladin nor a sorcerer. Currently playing and leveling one new char, don't know what to be.
